Man injured in shooting
A man has been injured in a shooting incident this morning, police said.
A Police spokeswoman said in a statement: "Around 2.45am on Friday April 6, police responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Somerset Cricket Club in Sandys. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation immediately.
"One man was injured and conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
"Witnesses or anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the main police number at 295-0011, or the independent and confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 800-8477."
