The Bermuda Police Service yesterday denied rumours of gunfire, which spread across the Island over the weekend.

A spokeswoman said that they were aware of a text message claiming that gunshots had been fired in the central parishes. “We would like to assure the public that no such report was made to the police, no one was treated at the hospital for gunshot injuries and no one has come forward to verify the text message,” the spokeswoman said.
