Man denies threatening girlfriend

A St David’s man has denied unlawfully detaining, assaulting and threatening to kill the mother of his two children.

Mikhail Butterfield, 23, of Narrows Lane, allegedly held his 36-year-old ex-girlfriend and mother of his children at knifepoint and told her would kill her, before dragging her through the street by her hair.

In Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Mr Butterfield denied the charges of using threatening words, unlawful assault, possessing a bladed article in a public place, and unlawful detention.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded Mr Butterfield into custody. He will be tried on August 15.
