ISIS Law changes its name to BeesMont

BeesMont founders: Sharon Beesely and Marco Montarsolo

A Bermuda law firm is to change its name to BeesMont.

ISIS Law, set up in 2008, made the switch after the same initials were later used to identify the terror group Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

The new name is a combination of the founders’ names, Sharon Beesley and Marco Montarsolo and the company has also unveiled a new logo.

Ms Beesley said the original name was linked to the old ISIS Group, including the ISIS Foundation, with the name taken from an Egyptian goddess used to represent fertility, motherhood and nurturing and designed to reflect the ideals of the charitable organisation.

The new BeesMont Group includes BeesMont Law, a team of 11 lawyers working in all areas of corporate and commercial law, BeesMont Corporate Services and BeesMont Special Solutions.

And they have recently added to the legal strength with Kim Simmons as senior corporate counsel and Simon Davis as senior property counsel.

The firm is based in Hamilton’s Church Street.

Mr Montarsolo said: “Although the rebranding process has been somewhat challenging, we look forward to going from strength to strength under our new banner and continuing to provide the level of expertise and professionalism that our clients have come to expect.”

The firm can be found at its new website, www.beesmont.bm.
