Don’t stifle our young entrepreneurs

Dear Sir,

The OBA wanting to remove the right for children under 16 to sell anything is wrong.

The Tourism Minister complains about Bermuda not gaining enough tourists, yet wants to take away this privilege from youngsters. This is what attracts tourists — young children selling snowballs where the cruise ships dock.

Maybe the tourist is into t-shirts or straw hats — if children are making money doing that, why stop them?

If they must get a licence to sell, so be it, but don’t just eliminate their privilege, that’s devilish.
