The Royal Gazette/BSX Index edged up 0.96 points. or 0.05 per cent, to close at 2,052.57 ahead of the Cup Match holiday.

The only stock to trade was Ascendant Group. Its shares were up 10 cents, or 1.1 per cent, at $8.99 after 1,000 were traded.

Meanwhile, on the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank shares were down 20 cents, or 0.58 per cent, at $34.54.

The local exchange is closed tomorrow and Friday for the public holiday.
