Man charged over death of model in crash

A 42-year-old man was yesterday charged in connection with a fatal road crash.

Clinton Smith, from Warwick, was accused of causing the death of Sophie Fraser-Smith by driving in a manner dangerous to the public on July 18.

Ms Fraser-Smith, 21, was a Bermudian model who had been featured in several online catalogues and print magazines.

Mr Smith did not have to enter a plea because the matter must be heard by Supreme Court.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe released Mr Smith on $7,500 bail.

Mr Smith will appear in Supreme Court at the December 1 arraignments session.
