ICC confirms Los Angeles tournament

It’s a date: Bermuda players will have the opportunity to right the wrongs of the ill-fated trip to Malaysia

The International Cricket Council has confirmed that the World Cricket League Division Four tournament will be played at Woodley Park, Los Angeles, from October 29 to November 5.

The United States will be joined by Bermuda, Denmark, Italy, Jersey and Oman in the six-team tournament, with the top-two sides advancing to Division Three.

Jersey and Oman were promoted from the Division Five competition held in Jersey in May this year. Jersey as champions and Oman as runners-up.

Denmark and Italy retained their spots in Division Four after finishing third and fourth respectively in the 2014 tournament held in Singapore, where Malaysia were the eventual winners.

Bermuda and the US were relegated from Division Three after they finished as the fifth and sixth teams in the tournament held in Malaysia in 2014.

This is the first time a World Cricket League event will be played in the US.
