Man arrested after smartphone theft
A 71-year-old man was arrested in connection with the theft of a smartphone from a motorcycle storage box.
Police said the suspect was spotted on CCTV removing an item from the box when it was parked on Front Street, near Burnaby Street, at about 12.40am today.
He was located and arrested a short time later. The smartphone was returned to its owner.
The suspect, believed to be from Pembroke, was in police custody pending further inquiries by the Criminal Investigation Department this morning.
