Bus service halted for talks

Buses will be off the road today between 11.30am and 3.30pm for a union meeting, the Department of Public Transportation has warned.

A DPT spokesman said the service interruption was to allow unions to discuss with the division its negotiations with the Government.

Curtis Dickinson, the Minister of Finance, sent an open letter to public sector workers last week on a money-saving plan that he said would preserve jobs after government finances were devastated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The DPT apologised for any inconvenience caused.
