Dear Sir,

The reports, and the observations of the president of the Bermuda Industrial Union, indicate that attendance at these meetings have dropped — this being an indicator that people want to get back to work and get on with their lives.

Maybe the time is coming for a new movement to take shape: Bermudians for Bermuda, which could consider marching on BIU headquarters for a peaceful demonstration, preventing the members from attending the meetings called by the BIU hierarchy. That would put the shoe on the other foot.

The rhetoric of Jason Hayward calling for civil war is totally irresponsible and is to be condemned — Bermudians are a peace-loving people, enjoying their visitors, welcoming them and making them comfortable in a safe environment.

Wake up, Bermuda, and make your voices heard to fight these cankerous sores developing.
