A popular Front Street nightspot is now open only on weekends.The Dog House is open Fridays from 3pm until 3am on Saturday, and Saturdays from 4pm until 3am on Sunday, but is otherwise closed.“It’s winter time, there’s a lack of business, a lack of customers during the winter months,” says owner Frank Arnold.The bar’s reduced hours will come to an end once tourists begin to arrive in numbers.“The final day has not been decided, but it should be soon,” Mr Arnold said. “We’re waiting for the [tourist] season to kick in.”Mr Arnold said bar staff are on reduced hours, but no one has been let go.He said The Dog House has reduced its opening hours during winter months in the past, but was open throughout last winter.
