Hamilton sewer repairs a success

A damaged sewer on Front Street has been repaired after a lingering bad odour was tracked down by City of Hamilton engineers.

A spokeswoman said the repair job that started in the early hours of Sunday had been finished successfully, with the trench being filled on Monday.

The job required trenching at King and Front Streets. The excavation is expected to be covered with asphalt either later today or tomorrow morning.

City Hall thanked the public for their patience, and urged passers-by to remain careful when travelling in the area.
