A day designed to celebrate children with autism will be held tomorrow.

The Tomorrow’s Voices Autism Centre has organised the Bounce for Autism fun day, designed to raise funds for the charity.

The event will feature up to 13 fun castles and water slides, bouncy races and dance competitions.

A spokeswoman said: “Bouncing is also an incredibly fun and therapeutic activity for those on the autism spectrum and something that they are able to enjoy with their typically developing peers.”

A Tomorrow’s Voices information booth will also be featured at the event, to be held at the North Village Field from 2pm to 7pm.

The Bounce for Autism family fun day is usually held in April, Autism Awareness Month, but was postponed due to bad weather.

Tomorrow’s Voices is the main provider of services and support to people and families affected by autism spectrum disorders and other development disabilities.

Special guests at the event will include MC Qianemon from Bermemes, DanceSations, Gombey Warriors, LiveWires, and DJ B Roc.

Admission is $12 per person, which includes all-day fun castle access and a raffle ticket.

Sponsors include Funtyme Entertainment, Bacardi, D&J Construction, Belco, Clarien Bank, Chubb, MS Amlin, The MarketPlace, Arnold’s Markets, EFY Laundry & Linen, One Communications, KJ&K Security, Xtreme Sports, Play Games Entertainment and Hotdog Delights.

Anyone who wants to volunteer for the event should contact Thea Furbert on 297-4342 or e-mail info@tomorrowsvoices.bm
