Road closures for Race Weekend

The City of Hamilton reminds the public that road closures as well as car park closures will be in effect starting at 4:00pm on Friday, January 17th to accommodate the events associated with Bermuda Race Weekend.

Front Street, between Spurling Hill and Par-la-Ville Road will be closed to vehicular traffic as of 5:30pm on Friday and will not reopen until 11:00pm, or when it is safe to do so, after the Front Street Mile. Other closures at this time include Court Street, between Reid and Front Streets, Burnaby Hill, between Reid and Front Streets and Queen Street, between Front and Reid Streets.

No.1 and No. 5 Car Parks will be closed as of 4:00pm on Friday, reopening at 11:00pm.

On Sunday, January 19th, Front Street will be closed between Bermudiana Road and Spurling Hill starting at 8:00am. Other closures on Sunday will affect Court Street, between Reid and Front Streets, Burnaby Hill, between Reid and Front Streets and Par-la-Ville Road, between Rosebank Road, by International Imports, and Front Street. All streets will reopen at 10:00am.

Diversion signs and barriers will be in place. The City of Hamilton apologizes for any inconvenience caused during this time.
