Lewis claims national title
Jessica Lewis claimed victory in the womenís T53 100 metres para wheelchair race at the Canadian Track and Field Championships in Ottawa last week.
Lewis, who recently graduated from Brock University in St Catharines, Ontario, finished in a time of 17.34sec. She also came second in the 200 in 32.57, third in the 400 in 1:03.99 and fourth in the 800 in 2:07.66. Lewis set a seasonís best time in the 100 of 16.77 at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Nottwil, Switzerland, before coming second in the 200 in 31.03 in May.
