Eighteen-year-old Daymon Olando Simmons, of Cedar Hill, Warwick, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to the offence which occurred on March 28.

Police saw Simmons racing down Spurling Hill in Pembroke close to 1 a.m. that day.

Sgt. Earl Kirby, prosecuting, said Police stopped Simmons to warn him about the way he was riding.

Inquiries revealed he was off the road until October 13, Sgt. Kirby said.

Simmons was last before the court last October for riding a motorcycle while under age.

"Since this is your first driving while disqualified offence by a court I will just fine you $350 and take you off the road for a further 18 months,'' Magistrate the Wor. John Judge said.

"Now don't come back for disqualified driving because the law says I would have to impose a sentence of three months in prison.'' WALLET SNATCHED CTS Wallet snatched Police are seeking witnesses to a wallet snatch in Pembroke on Monday afternoon.

A 34-year-old Pembroke man was walking along Berkeley Road, near Mount Hill, around 1.30 p.m. when a thief snatched his wallet from his pocket and ran away. It contained cash and personal items.

Anyone who saw the incident is asked to call Det. Sgt. Boyce at Central CID on 295-0011.

Over the weekend thieves broke into the Gibbons Company warehouse on Church Street in Hamilton but nothing was reported stolen.

Ronald Edward Jeffries, 46, of Marsh Lane, Pembroke, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to drinking in a public place.

Police saw him shortly before 4.30 p.m. on March 29 standing in the park -- about 50 yards from the entrance, with two bottles of Beck's beer in a brown paper bag.

Jeffries, who was last before the court in January for a similar offence, yesterday said: "I did not know Par-La-Ville was a public park.

"I saw other men drinking there so I just had a cold one''.

PROWLER ARRESTED CTS A homeless man who startled a woman by looking through her window will be sentenced in Magistrates' Court on April 14.

Anthony Frank Madeiros, 28, is in custody until that date awaiting sentencing on other matters.

He pleaded guilty this week to prowling in Warwick on March 9. Police prosecutor Sgt. Earl Kirby told the court a woman was reading in her living room when she heard a noise at her screen door. She saw the man and screamed.

Madeiros fled but was soon caught by employees from a nearby hotel.
