Brian Castle Memorial race involving seven classes, three for the first time.

In the pee wee class, Gary Cann took advantage of Maurice Symons' engine problems to pick up two wins while Jakai Brimmer won the third moto. Lawrenzo Trott scored a hat-trick of wins over Aaron Cannonier in the pee wee 80 races.

Steven Panchaud won the 60cc class over Chris DeSilva with three victories as DeSilva had to settle for three seconds.

Things were closer and more exciting in the 80cc class which had three different leaders in three motos, though in the end it was Jamel Hassell winning his fourth trophy race of the year with two firsts and a second.

Howard Paynter, who recently had the misfortune of having his bike stolen, but later recovered, rode the race of his life to win the second moto for his first career victory. He subsequently became the second person and first local rider to defeat Hassell this season.

Robbie Smith was the runaway 125 B winner on his Star Honda, putting away challenges from Otis Ingham and Chris Maxwell who led the early laps. Kemo Simons put his 125 C Suzuki in the fray where he managed to run as high as second behind Smith.

Stephan Lightbourne and Lawrence Noble were the other 125 C finishers while Wentworth Tucker was the lone 250 class rider.

Robbie Smith leads the BACU moto winners category with 30 wins while Hassell is second with 28 and Maurice Symons third with 27. Kemo Simons and Steven Panchaud both have 24 wins for the season and Lawrenzo Trott 25.

The next event is the Grand Prix this Sunday.
