A breakfast to remember

Huge success: the pre-Father’s Day Breakfast at St David’s Primary School, which served more than 150 meals

Dear Sir,

I hope you will allow me a few lines to publicly thank our sponsors of the pre-Father’s Day Breakfast held at St David’s Primary School on June 17, hosted by the St George’s Parish Council.

A lot of times when these events come off, not enough is said about the companies and persons who come out of their pockets and give of their time.

I must say when these companies were approached, their response can be said to be nothing less than enthusiastic. They were very forthcoming with their assistance and, of course, because of their support the event was a tremendous success, with more than 150 meals being served.

We would like to acknowledge and thank Dunkley’s Dairy, Butterfield & Vallis, John Barritt and Son Ltd, the MarketPlace and Speciality Coffee. Also, thank you to the following individuals, without whom the event could not have been the success it was: Bethany Butcher, the chef, and Arthur Robinson from Bermuda Pest Control.

Mr Editor, without the above-mentioned companies and individuals, the event would not have come off as well as it did. All are to be commended for the support that they gave. Such support goes a long way to the ensuring that groups such as ours can facilitate such events and carry out our mandate as put forth in the Parish Councils Act 1971. Thank you very much

MICHAEL HARVEY

Secretary

St George’s Parish Council

Update: this letter was amended to include Speciality Coffee as one of the sponsors for the pre-Father’s Day Breakfast
