to the Mount Saint Agnes basketball team and a commercial league softball team. His basketball team won the Roger B. Chaffee tournament and he was selected for the All-Star team.

Michael, 19, is a senior at Mount Saint Agnes sixth-form level where his favourite subject is physical education. But his goal for now is to graduate and find a good job.

Aside from sports, Michael likes helping out with the Boys Brigade.

"I went to the Boys Brigade when I was young,'' he said. "Now I go to help with the little kids.'' Michael, who is an only child and has a dog named Bo, enjoys watching comedies such as `Dumb and Dumber' and eating Kentucky Fried Chicken. His favourite music is old style reggae and his favourite TV show is Home Improvement.

Michael said he hasn't has any exceptionally good days but he recalled that the worst day of his life was when he had to get an operation.

The person Michael would most like to meet is Donald Trump. "I 'd like to pick up some pointers on how to get rich,'' he said with a smile.

Michael said he believes that crime and the lack of respect that youth have for the Police and other people, are society's main problems.

"There needs to be more meetings between the Police and community so that everyone can be aware of what is going on,'' he suggested. "Speakers, such as for the Crime Stoppers programme, can be brought in to give solutions to the crime problem.'' Michael also suggested that Government should build basketball courts and recreation centres in all the parishes so that people wouldn't have to travel long distances to get to a centre.

One wish that Michael has is for racism and violence to end in Bermuda. When asked where he would go if he had an open plane ticket to anywhere in the world Michael said he would like to stay close to home.

"I would go somewhere close like the States or one of the islands like Antigua or St. Thomas,'' he said, adding that he did not like to fly.
