Noisy drones will invade our privacy

Dear Sir,

Do we really want to give licences to people who want to use drones and helicopters to invade the privacy of our homes and gardens?

To hover over our houses taking pictures, disturbing the peaceful atmosphere that we are entitled to in our own homes?

Why do we make these decisions only to find that the drones around airports are a danger to jet planes? And there seems no restrictions as yet to control what must be a tragedy waiting to happen.

There seems to be another penetrating light that can be focused on a landing plane from the ground that can blind the pilot temporarily. Where are the restrictions?

Who sits on these boards and decides to give permission and authorisation for licences?

And who decides the merit of these inventions?

Jet skis in the harbour, another noise factor, speeding round and round with an annoying whining sound, have turned out to be a joy for a few and a great annoyance to many, many who bought lovely properties on the water for the tranquility. They have been very disturbed.

We should look into the volume of the noise a bike is allowed to make, and certain cars.

If we are wise, we should value our noise factor and try to make sure we keep it as quiet as possible.

That is part of why Bermuda is another world.
