Scottish Re Group Ltd. will increase its reach in the Asia-Pacific region after securing a licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore to open a full branch office.

The licence allows the Bermuda-based global life reinsurance specialist to boost its presence in Singapore from the representative office it established last October. The branch office will provide full marketing, operational and administration support to the Asia-Pacific markets including Japan, China, South East Asia, Korea and Australia.
