Allan Trew has switched from being hotel manger of the Fairmont Southampton to the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.

Mr. Trew has worked for the two hotels for 28 years and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Hamilton hotel.

He was manager at the Fairmont Southampton for 10 years. And from 1989 to 1996, Mr. Trew was director of sales and conventions at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess and before that he had been convention manager at the Southampton hotel. Mr. Trew joined Fairmont Southampton in 1979 as assistant front desk manager.

Jon Crellin, general manager of the Fairmont Hamilton Princess said: "I am delighted to welcome Allan back to the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. I am sure the guests and staff are looking forward to his return and I am confident that he will help us lead the company as we continue to grow our corporate and leisure business and introduce new programmes."
