Robin Hood midfielder Shaun Brown is closely marked by two Eagles defenders

X-Roads thrashed Young Men’s Social Club 5-1 thanks to four goals from Tristan Daniels at Bernard Park yesterday.

Rico Beek was also on target for X-Roads, while Raymond Burgess was on target for Young Men’s Social Club.

Liam Evans scored what proved to be the winner as Robin Hood beat Somerset Eagles 1-0 at Goose Gosling Field to remain at the top of the First Division table.

Evans’s goal came in the ninth minute to settle matters in a match that saw both teams come close to scoring on numerous occasions.

Devonshire Colts kept pace with Hood, as they beat Boulevard 4-1 at Police Field. Vernon Lambe, Zuri Darrell, Kyle Jones and Quinn Simmons all got their names on the scoresheet for the hosts, while Dunn-Ya Taylor scored the lone goal for Blazers.

Damion Mendoza scored a second half hat-trick as promotion chasing St George’s beat bottom team Paget 5-0 at Southampton Oval. Macai Simmons put his side in the lead in the seventh minute and it stayed that way until the half despite the sending off of Paget’s D’andre Burgess in the 38th minute for directing foul language at the referee.

Kodi Carlington doubled the St George’s lead in the 54th minute before Mendoza opened his account three minutes later. Mendoza added his second and the team’s fourth in the 72nd minute and then completed his hat-trick in the 76th minute when he converted from the penalty spot. St George’s wasted several good scoring opportunities in the second half.

Nasir Richardson scored a brace as BAA thrashed Ireland Rangers 6-1 at Malabar. LaQuan Thomas, Diego McCallan, Dante Taylor, Joshua Desilva chipped in with a goal apiece to help Richardson in the goalscoring department.

Rangers’ leading scorer Daunte Woods scored for the home team.
