Dock workers have a hectic seven days
A US warship called at the Island last weekend for a short stop during a busy few days in the shipping lanes.
The USS Grasp came in on Saturday to pick up crew and provisions, leaving from Ordnance Island on Sunday.
John S. Darrell also reported the car ship Pegasus Highway , which brought in 159 cars and 27 containers of loose freight on Saturday.
Meyer had the gravel ship Malmnes at Penno's Wharf on Friday to unload its cargo.
The Cable and Wireless cable ship the Sir Eric Sharp left on Thursday to lay cable at St. Vincent.
On Sunday the Somer's Isle brought in 91 containers, before departing yesterday.
Container Ship Management reported the Oleander in with 129 containers, 38 refrigerated and six trailers. It came in on Sunday and left on Monday. They also had the Stadt Kiel in to pick up empty containers on Sunday.
The Bermuda Islander is due in tomorrow with 118 containers on board.
On Friday, the LPG gas tanker Coral Acropora will arrive at St. George's to unload gas. And at Dockyard on Saturday the Starfish will bring a load of cement.
John. S. Darrell reported the Nordic Empress in yesterday with 1,657 people on board. And they also had the Pacific Empress in with 650 passengers yesterday.
Meyer had the Horizon in on Monday with 1,295 passengers and the Zenith with 1,344 people.
And last Friday the Crown Dynasty came into Hamilton with 777 passengers. It shifted to Dockyard on Sunday before departing on Monday.
