Terceira excels at Pan Am Games
Jill Terceira has climbed to 11th place at the Pan Am Games showjumping event after superb rides in the second and third rounds of the competition.Riding Bernadien, Terceira incurred just one time penalty in the second round to finish 17th overall, moving her penalty score to 8.24.In the third round she was again hit by just one time time penalty, leaving her 11th overall with a final score of 9.24.With the top 25 advancing to today’s final round, she will be up against some of the top equestrians in the Americas region, including six-time Olympian Ian Millar and number one world ranked rider Eric LamazeTerceira’s fellow Bermudian, Patrick Nisbett, was placed 36th with a final score of 26.31.In the second round, riding Cantaro, Nisbett incurred one time penalty plus four jumping faults giving him a 11.31 total and putting him 21st overall.However, he dropped to 36th in the third round with three time penalties and 12 jumping penalties.
