Tourists hospitalised after scooter accident
A vacationing couple had to be hospitalised on Wednesday night after an accident on their rental scooter.
The couple was travelling east on Middle Road in Smith?s, near Store Hill, when the driver, a 56-year-old man, lost control of the cycle and crashed into an embankment.
Both the passenger, a 55-year-old woman, and the driver were thrown from the bike.
They were taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where the man was treated for a broken right arm and the woman a broken left leg.
Police are currently investigating the accident.
Missing teen found safe
Missing teen Crystal Vigneri-Torak returned to her home late Wednesday night.
The teen appeared to be unharmed.
The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank members of the public for their help in locating the 16-year-old.

Host of activities for US Independence Day
A host of games and activities are in store at the American Independence Day Celebration next weekend. The event will be held on Saturday July 1 from 5 p.m. at the Moresby Plain in Dockyard.
Activities are on offer for children of all ages and include a best costume contest, a three-legged race, face painting and a bouncy castle. There will be karaoke and a bungee run for teenagers as well as games such as volleyball, basketball and tug-of-war.
Children will also have the opportunity to enter the essay competition on the theme ? ?What freedom means to me.?
Football star Shaun Goater will be in attendance signing autographs.
Adults will also be able to have some fun with their own costume contest as well as bingo, Crown n? Anchor and Bermuda Black Jack.
Guests are advised to use the extra fast ferries and express buses arranged to take people to and from the event.
Those wearing their official Independence Day wristbands can utilise mass transit for free on July 1st.

Man sent to KEMH after collision with truck
A 27-year-old St. George?s man received multiple injuries after a collision with a truck late Tuesday night.
The accident occurred on South Road in Paget, near the junction of Stowe Hill.
A 64-year-old truck driver was travelling west while the motorcycle was travelling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided.
The St. George?s man sustained a fractured right arm, a laceration to his right knee and facial abrasions. The truck driver was not injured.
After being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment, the St. George?s man was arrested on the suspicion of impaired driving.
Break in at Devonshire home
Police attended a reported burglary on Monday at a Poinciana Road, Devonshire home.
The complainants said that between 8.30 and 11 a.m. a culprit gained access to their home. The culprit stole a gold coloured woman?s ring with an aquamarine stone, a silver Motorola cellular phone, a dark blue Audiovex cellular phone and approximately $100 in coins.
Police are currently investigating the matter.
Driver was three times over alcohol limit
A Southampton man pleaded guilty to impaired driving after a breathalyser test showed that his blood alcohol level was triple the legal amount.
Peter Sampson, 32, of Eastdale Lane was arrested for the suspicion of impaired driving after officers observed him swerving on Middle Road in Southampton in the early hours of June 5.
When officers pulled him over, Sampson?s eyes were glazed and his breath smelled of alcohol. He was taken to the Police station where officers conducted a breathalyser test.
His results came back 240 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
Sampson received a $800 fine and was disqualified from driving all vehicles for 12 months.
