attempting to steal more than $29,000 yesterday admitted the offence in Supreme Court.

David Walter Arorash changed his earlier not guilty plea and admitted five charges involving breaking and entering Windsor Place in Hamilton and destroying the Bank of Butterfield teller machine with James Alan Dill on April 23. Dill admitted similar offences last week.

They attempted to steal $29,920.

Both men are charged with wearing masks while committing the offence, destroying property and trying to steal another $20,000. Arorash was represented by lawyer Miss Elizabeth Christopher at the monthly arraignments yesterday.

He will be sentenced in Supreme court on November 1.

Also in arraignments, three people charged with conspiring to import cocaine into Bermuda entered not guilty pleas to all five counts.

Robert Washington, 26, of Hill View Warwick, Karyn Moniz, 24, of Cut Road, St.

George's and American Gary McCluskey, 25, of the United States Naval Air Station, denied conspiring to import cocaine between September 1, 1992 and 23, March 1993.

They also denied importing, handling and possessing the drug between March 17 and March 23.

And they pleaded not guilty to importing restricted goods free of duty through the Base.

Washington is represented by Mr. Tim Marshall, while Moniz is represented by Mr. Delroy Duncan and Mr. Richard Hector appears for McCluskey.

The trial begins March 9.

In other cases, Alexander Troy Brangman of Warwick denied importing and possessing 1.14 kg of 60 percent pure cocaine.

He is represented by Mr. Hector and will appear for mention on November 1.

Shawn Derrick Gibson pleaded not guilty to unlawfully wounding Marc MacDonald with the intent to do grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon.

He is represented by Mr. Marshall and reappears for mention on November 1.

Gerry Eugene Fubler yesterday denied using a firearm to steal $4,471 in cash and cheques from Warren Foggo on June 4. The money was contained in a Bank of Butterfield money bag.

He is represented by Mr. Peter Farge and reappears for mention on November 1.

Allison Rasheedah Shakir, 21, who pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of foreign currency fraud at an earlier arraignment, will appear for trial February 14.

She is represented by Mr. Hector.

Gregory Ryan Ashbury, of Berkeley Road, Pembroke allegedly purchased foreign currency on 31 separate occasions and said the money was for travel. He allegedly neither traveled nor returned the foreign cash.

Represented by lawyer Mr. Archie Warner, he was released on $25,000 bail. His trial starts on March 21.

A 41-year-old Paget man, charged with murdering his 10-month-old daughter will go to trial 24 January.

He is also charged with causing grievous bodily harm to the child on May 29, 1991.

Represented by lawyer Mr. Delroy Duncan, his $30,000 bail was extended. A January 5 trial date was set for former MP Dr. Vincent Bridgewater, who appeared for mention on charges of stealing, 14 counts of false pretences and 3 attempted false pretences. He will be represented by lawyer Mr. Julian Hall.
