The other man needed five stitches in his arm after being stabbed by his wife at Loyal Hill.

At Simons Drive, Warwick on Saturday night, a sleeping woman was disturbed by a man going through her bag in her kitchen. She chased him but he got away with $140.

There were other break-ins at Curving Avenue in Pembroke, Greenfield Lane in Sandys, Tribe Road 2 in Warwick, Cataract Hill in Paget, Long Range Hill in Devonshire, and Midland Heights in Hamilton Parish, Police reported.

Businesses were also hit by thieves, with one Devonshire company losing $8,600 in a break-in.

Two stores in Hamilton were raided, one in Front Street and one in Reid Street, where the thief managed to escape the firm's head of security. A Burnaby Street restaurant was also broken into.

About $400 was stolen from a purse left in an insecure car at Dockyard.
