A moving tribute has been paid to 18-year-old Vershon Simmons who died last week in a road accident.Vershon was a valued crew member on the Spirit of Bermuda and this video shows him on board the sloop.It has been posted on YouTube with the words: “A remarkable young man, great sailor, friend, and mentor... we will miss him greatly. I share the sorrow of his loss with family, the Spirit of Bermuda community, and any that knew him. You are gone, but we will never forget you. Thanks for the pleasure of getting to know you.. God Bless! R.I.P.”The video ends with the words: “Thanks for the memories, you were a great young man.”
