Expert bridges the gap between pets and people
Do you ever wonder what is going on in your pet's head? If so, then you will want to take part in a weekend workshop on animal communication.
A visiting animal expert is currently on the Island to teach animal lovers how to communicate with their beloved pets.
Renowned animal communicator and author of `Talking With the Animals' Patty Summers will spend the next three days trying to make locals realise that animals are more than just pets.
"We would like people to understand that animals are more than pets, they have thoughts and feelings,'' explained Barbara Bluck of InSight, the organisation hosting the workshops. "We're trying to get the information out that we have to pay attention to the creatures in the animal kingdom.'' The presentations begin tonight with an address by Ms Summer at 7.30 p.m. at Admiralty House in Pembroke. Admission for tonight's introductory lecture is $10.
Tomorrow's workshop will focus on owners actually learning ways to communicate with their pets.
"Patty acts as a bridge between humans and animals communicating with them telepathically, sending and receiving thoughts through visual images and feelings,'' explained Mrs. Bluck. "Her workshops are designed to help reawaken our own ability to communicate with animals.
Sunday's workshop will provide animal lovers with the opportunity to communicate with their deceased pets.
"They bring in a picture of the animal and Patty will teach them how to communicate with them. It may sound a little strange but people who have animals and love them will understand this.''
