CGA-Bermuda to hold two workshops
The Certified General Accountants' Association of Bermuda (CGA- Bermuda) will be holding two workshops at the Chamber of Commerce on January 24.
The first, focusing on performance indicators, will be led by CGA-Canada chair and CEO Michel Guindor.
Mr. Guindor, who has written six books and 18 research papers, will be discussing his research findings on the topic. His model, which promotes savings and increased efficiency, has been implemented throughout Quebec.
The second workshop - Legislative Changes to Ontario's Public Accounting Practice - will be presented by Herb Woodhouse, a leader in the fight for full public practice rights for CGA's in all parts of Canada.
He will discuss the Justice Law Statute Law Amendment Act 2002 during his presentation.
Before the amendment was made, CGA's were not allowed to carry out audits in certain parts of Canada.
"We are hoping to have similar changes in Bermuda. We have been patiently waiting," said CGA- Bermuda president Bill Ingham.
The workshops begin at 3 p.m.
