record after defeating Somerset Extros 2-1 in Group B action on Saturday.

Leading marksman Troy Furbert sparked Service to a one goal lead early in the second half before Dwaine Richardson equalised for the former Trojans, only to have Steven Caines assure victory for the visitors with a late winner.

Service appear increasingly good candidates for promotion to Group A, if five wins in as many matches are any indication.

Taking advantage of the slip by Extros were both Devonshire Colts All-Stars and KPMG, who advanced past the west enders with easy victories.

All-Stars moved to third on the tails of a 5-1 pummelling of Park United led by Jeff Richardson's two goals and one each by Jimmy Tweed, Michael Looby and John Corday. Kenny Francis replied for United.

Even more convincing was KPMG's win against hapless Prison Officers, with the former coming out on top by an 8-2 margin, as Neil Clemens struck for four goals, John Ingham two and Rob Newman a single strike.

St. George's, another leading challenger, maintained second place with a hard fought, come from behind triumph against unlucky Valley, who squandered a 2-0 lead, courtesy of two Al Thomas conversions, before losing 3-2 as evergreen Cal Raynor struck twice, including a winning penalty. Valley aided in their own demise with an own goal.

The final Group B match witnessed Wolves Pack down Devonshire Lions 6-0.

In Group A Island Rangers scored five goals in the second half, after trailing early, to defeat Spinning Wheel 5-2.

Player-coach Troy Berkeley once again led by example with two goals, as did Michael Bremar, while Blaine Outerbridge notched one. Ellsworth Lambert and Yousseff Baucetta each scored for Wheel.

Second place BAA Wanderers won a hard fought 2-1 game over third place Forties, with Gary Flood and Stuart Drake counted among the scorers for BAA, while Brian Fubler registered one for Forties.

At Shelly Bay Robin Hood and Lobster Pot battled to a 1-1 draw with Alex McGlaughlin and Ronan Daly scoring for Hood and Pot respectively.

The lone other match saw North Village Rams and Exiles engage in a rare 0-0 draw at Bernard Park.

In Alliance Division Group A action North Village and PHC drew 2-2, St.

George's defeated Dandy Town 3-2, while Somerset and Devonshire Colts drew 1-1.

Group B play witnessed BAA and Devonshire Cougars draw 2-2.
