Breaking News:Police name road crash victim
Police this afternoon named Bermuda’s latest road victim as 27-year-old Omar Sutton, of Warwick.
Mr. Sutton’s motorcycle collided with a BELCO truck on Middle Road, Paget, around 2.40 a.m. yesterday.
According to the Police, he was riding west near the junction with Valley Road, in the vicinity of the Paget Shell gas station, when he apparently lost control and collided with the truck travelling in the opposite direction.
Mr. Sutton was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 3.13 a.m.
The truck driver, a 49 year old Sandys man, was not injured.
The Police extended condolences to the victim’s family and friends and called on witnesses to the collision to contact PC Anthony Ricketts on 295-0011.
