BSX gains eight points

Over $1.5 million changed hands on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday and the Royal Gazette/BSX Index rallied eight points after Bank of Butterfield shares gained some ground.
Bank of Bermuda shares lost ten cents to close at $44.40 and traded the bulk of the shares - 28,000. Bank of Butterfield rose 50 cents to finish at $32.50. No other shares traded.
The Index closed up three percent to finish at 2,634.98 on a volume of 36,670 shares worth $1,517,417. No bonds traded.
