Bank of Butterfield stock pushed down the Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday by nearly one percent on a day of moderate trading.

Bank of Butterfield lost $1.15 to finish at $32.00 and Bank of Bermuda remained static at $43. No other stocks changed price.

The index closed down 25.72 points at 2,580.38 on a volume of 9,169 shares worth $357,177.
