The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index slipped 25.11 points or just under one percent yesterday to close at 2,583.26 on volume of 16,443 worth $365,760.

Bank of Bermuda shares remained unchanged at $47 despite 6,700 shares trading hands, and the Bank of Butterfield lost $1 or 3 percent to close at $32 on light volume of only 200 shares.

Bermuda Commercial Bank was the only other issue to loose ground, closing down 50 cents or 5.9 percent at $8 on volume of 1,600 shares, and Bermuda Commercial Bank Warrants also saw some action with 2,000 traded, but remained unchanged at $1.10

Kentucky Fried Chicken saw 3,700 shares traded, but remained unchanged at $4.50, and Bermuda Container Line also remained unchanged at $12 despite 2,000 shares trading hands. The only other issue to be traded was BF.&M nine percent bonds which closed unchanged at $12.
