The Bermuda Stock Exchange index rose slightly on Friday on a quiet day of trading which saw just 5,700 shares change hands.

Th only stock to change price was Argus Insurance, which gained 50 cents to close at $20.00, $2.00 short of the stock's 52 week high.

Bank of Bermuda and Bank of Butterfield closed unchanged at $44 and $33 respectively.

The index closed 3.34 points up at 2,627.75 on a volume of 5,700 shares worth $131,800.
