Gavin Christian Wilkinson, 23, of no fixed abode is a part time pot washer at the hotel during the summer season but was laid off over the winter.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Donald Grant said Police officers were called to the hotel by the hotel manager after he discovered a man asleep on one of the beds.

Wilkinson was taken to Somerset Police Station and charged with wandering abroad. He said he entered the premises through a window.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. William Francis ordered a social inquiry report for the youth.

"There seems to be some other problem with you,'' he said to Wilkinson who has a previous conviction for the offence.

Wilkinson claimed he is still an employee of the hotel and the hotel manager, who was not aware he was homeless, was helping him to find accommodation.
