Stephen Adrian Gibbons, 33, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to driving his 23-foot-long motor boat without due care.

Police were called to the scene of a serious marine accident in Mangrove Bay after Gibbons left Sandys Boat Club dock and smashed into a 36-foot anchored yacht, said Police prosecutor Sgt. Donald Grant.

Gibbons' fiance, who was on board the motor boat, received serious head and neck injuries and was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Gibbons said it was dark and he hadn't seen the other boat.

Both crafts were extensively damaged in the smash, Sgt. Grant said.

Mr. Francis told him he should have been driving more slowly before fining him $400.

A 31-year-old man told Police that following an argument over an outstanding debt, he was set upon on Tuesday night at his Pembroke home by a group of youths wielding sticks and bottles.

Carlton Clay Smith, 30, also pleaded innocent to charges of offensive behaviour, destroying a glass table property of KEMH valued at $60 and possessing a metal pole as an offensive weapon.

CAR WASHER KICKS IN CUSTOMER'S DOOR CTS Car washer kicks in customer's door A car washer who kicked his customer's car when he thought she was driving off without paying was fined in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Hubert Russell, 54, of Pembroke admitted doing wilful damage when he dented the car door of a green Mazda belonging to a customer on Parsons Road in Paget.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Donald Grant said Russell agreed to wash the car for $5 but became angered when its owner decided to move it.

"The defendant became upset and kicked the front door leaving a large dent,'' said Sgt. Grant.

Russell said he had already washed the car and the customer did not want to pay. Senior Magistrate the Wor. William Francis fined him $150.
