At Southampton Oval yesterday they scored their second consecutive league victory but had Kenny Mills to thank for the only goal of the game in the second half. Mills' strike came after 61 minutes when the former Commercial League side began to show signs of tiring.

Rangers had fought hard in the first half with centre-backs Frank Smith and Dwayne DeRosa looking particularly sound in defence.

Somerset Eagles 4 Paget 2 Darren Dowling struck twice to put Somerset Eagles on their way to victory over Paget at White Hill Field.

Dowling pounced in the fourth and 14th minutes but each time the Eagles were pegged back by their spirited opponents.

Jaja Williams made it 1-1 after ten minutes, then in the 35th minute Alfred Simmons got on the scoresheet to level for a second time.

But Eagles had enough gas in the second half to clinch the three points. Eddie Calendar put them into the lead for the third time 16 minutes after the break and Jelani Butterfield made certain with a goal two minutes from time.
