SISTER SIZZLE IN ST. LUCIA TEN Sisters sizzle in St. Lucia Bermuda's three Fisher sisters continued to heat up the courts in the Coca Cola Junior International Tournament in St. Lucia this week.
All three of the young players, Zoe, Kara and Sasha Fisher successfully reached the semi-finals of the girls' under-12 division.
And an upcoming clash between Kara and Sasha means Bermuda are guaranteed a shot at the championship title.
But Zoe Fisher was knocked out of the running after a marathon against Trinidad's top seed Laura Marin on Wednesday.
In a gruelling three-and-a-half-hour showdown, Zoe won the first set 7-6 -- 7-5 in the tiebreaker -- but Marin struck back with a second set 7-6 victory of her own after winning the tiebreak 7-2.
Zoe finally ran out of steam under the tropical sun and went down 1-6 in the third set.
In doubles action, Bermudian Daniel Miller and Antiguan Mali Richards, son of former Test great Viv Richards, advanced in the boys' under 18s, while Bermudian Danielle Downey and Trinidadian Sonia Ramcharan play in the girls' under-14 final today.

Stevens defeated Hardeep Reel 3-2 (2-9, 9-6, 9-7, 2-9, 10-8) taking the last game after being 8-1 down. Bermuda's top seed Kyme blasted Charanjiv Sing Walia 3-0 (9-3, 9-3 and 9-0). Bermuda were excited by the result as it meant they had finally picked themselves off the floor after finishing dead last at the previous three events.
Last night's victory means that Bermuda could potentially finish as high as 25th out of the 30 countries participating.
Today the same Bermuda trio are up against Kuwait.
