Island records fifth road death of year

On Wednesday evening he was a passenger on a Suzuki motor bike driven by a 23-year-old Pembroke man.

They were in a head-on collision with a Derbi cycle on Happy Valley Road, Pembroke.

Mr. Smith is the fifth person to die on Bermuda's roads this year.

Mr. Smith was the son of Mr. Livingston Smith and Ms. Jannah Muhammad of Wellington Hill, St. George's.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

The Suzuki driver and the Derbi rider, a 33-year-old Pembroke man, suffered minor injuries.

Investigating officer P.c. Jerome Laws renewed his appeal for anyone with information about the accident to call him on 295-0011.
