The father of Shane minors killed in cold blood last week has forgiven the man who murdered his son.

And he has implored the young men of Bermuda to put their guns down before another family has to go through what his has.

Shane was murdered on his doorstep at 1 a.m. though his body was not discovered until 6 a.m. Despite neighbours hearing gun shots, nobody called the police.

The father of one, who has raised his seven-year-old daughter by himself, died six days before his 31st birthday.

He was the third person murdered in just 12 days but said by many in the community to be the first not directly involved in the rivalry between 42nd street and Parkside gang members.
