Youngster Harvey signs for DePaul University
Promising young Bermuda footballer Jalen Harvey has signed National Letters of Intent to accept a scholarship to Division 1 DePaul University in Chicago.DePaul University, known as the Blue Demon, play in the Big East Conference.Harvey will be joined at DePaul University by his South Kent College team-mate Ben Lussier who also accepted a scholarship last week.Both players were key members of South Kent’s defence which set a school record with twelve clean sheets and went undefeated on the way to the Cardinals’ fourth straight New England Championship this season.Harvey was also named in the ESPN High School’s All New England Prep School team.South Kent head coach Owen Finberg said: “These young men have represented South Kent wonderfully both on and off the field this year.“I am proud to see that their discipline, hard work and outstanding quality was rewarded with scholarships to these great universities.“They will be sorely missed here on the Hillside, but I have no doubt that they will excel as student-athletes.”
