Two people injured in seperate accidentsA 23-year-old Warwick man injured his leg after his cycle collided with a jeep on Middle Road in Southampton.The man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and was last night in stable condition on a general ward. The driver of the jeep, a 34-year-old Southampton woman was not hurt. The accident happened around 1. 30 p.m. on Wednesday when the car was exiting a driveway and collided with his cycle travelling east on Middle Road.

Two people injured in seperate accidents

A 23-year-old Warwick man injured his leg after his cycle collided with a jeep on Middle Road in Southampton.

The man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and was last night in stable condition on a general ward. The driver of the jeep, a 34-year-old Southampton woman was not hurt. The accident happened around 1. 30 p.m. on Wednesday when the car was exiting a driveway and collided with his cycle travelling east on Middle Road.

The cycle had extensive front end damage while the jeep was also moderately damaged. Police are asking for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Scott Roberts on 295-0011.

A 23-year-old Paget woman was hurt when she lost control of her cycle yesterday morning. The woman had cuts on her left arm and pain to the right side of her body and last night she was on a general ward, but said to be in stable condition. The accident happened around 7. 30 a.m. while she was travelling west on Ord Road in Paget, near the junction with Tribe Road No. Five.

Police are asking witnesses to the collision to contact PC Seymour Foote on 295-0011.

Smith's landmark hit by truck again

Manor House Bridge in Smith's has been struck again by a truck.

The structure, on Harrington Sound Road, was damaged after it was hit by a truck travelling west just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police said the truck driver, a 51-year-old man from Warwick, was not injured. The bridge was built in the 1920s and has been damaged by vehicles several times in recent years.

Stolen car recovered

A woman had her car stolen from Jennings Bay Road in Southampton earlier this week. The red Toyota Yaris — licence number 00682 — was taken sometime between 10 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. Anyone with information should call the Road Policing Unit on 295-0011.

Flat screen TV stolen in burglary

A Sony 50in flat screen television was stolen during a break-in at a home in Cut Road, St. George's, on Monday. The burglary happened between 11.30 a.m. and 8.20 p.m.

Is your sailboat missing?

Marine Police are trying to find the owner of a 21ft blue and white sailing boat moored at Hospital Crawl in Sandys. The vessel shows no name, registration numbers or decal. Anyone with information should call P.c. Sean Wheatley or P.c. Joseph McRonald at 299-4585.
