It was "business as usual" yesterday at HWP, despite a fire that occured last Friday afternoon at its St. John's Road location.

Tony Martin, acting chief executive officer and senior vice-president of automotive sales, said: "We experienced a fire in our automotive body and paint shop on the south side of St. John's Road.

"Emergency measures were followed and all staff and visitors were evacuated from the site immediately. The Bermuda Fire Service responded quickly and the fire was extinguished with limited damage to the building. We'd extend our sincerest appreciation to the Bermuda Fire Service for their hard work and diligence on the scene.

He added that HWP was "operating in a business-as-usual mode" yesterday.
