Police report over 40 road collisions last week
There were more than 40 road collisions last week, Police said.
From November 30 to December 7, there were 11 collisions resulting in injury, 32 resulting in damage, and seven people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "We continue to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the Island's roads.
"Additionally, we urge those travelling in cars to use their seat belts at all times and make sure any children travelling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those travelling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane."
Another 13 vehicles were stolen, mostly motorcycles. Three vehicles have been recovered so far.
¦ Police received reports of four burglaries on Monday.
Thieves broke into a house in Vesey Street, Devonshire, stealing a navy Acer laptop, black Kodak digital camera, and a black gym bag.
In a separate incident, a house in Morgan Road, Warwick, was burgled. Two Toshiba laptops, a gold ring, cash and a black Honda Biz motorcycle were stolen.
At a house in Shawn Acres Lane, Southampton, thieves took a boxed-up new trampoline from a garden shed.
Police also attended a break-in at a property in Jennings Road, Smith's. Burglars got away with electronic equipment, cash and jewellery.
The suspects in this incident are described as two black men, in their late teens. One was 5 feet 9 inches tall and wore jeans and a white helmet. The other wore a black helmet and dark trousers. They rode off on a silver scooter.
The Bermuda Police Service is investigating these reported incidents.
