The new iStore has opened in Hamilton’s Washington Mall III.The main iStore on Reid Street closed three weeks ago and reopened at the new location earlier this month stocking all the favourites including laptops, desktops and printers.As the authorised Apple service provider, the new store also focuses on service and repairs as well as being the managed retail service provider for FKBTransact including Internet sales, modem testing and support.iStore general manager Richard Todd said that the move was a strategic one to a more central and higher traffic area as well as enabling the store to expand its range of services, including a mobile help desk called the iSquad on call for homes and businesses to troubleshoot problems.But iPad lovers will have to wait a bit longer for the newly-released iPad 2 which is not currently available.Calvina Parfitt, sales assistant and service support, said that the new releases of the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air were among the current bestsellers, while she had also seen an increase in trade from business people and companies switching over to Macs from PCs as well as more call for support services.The satelitte store in HSBC’s Harbourview Centre building will continue to provide accessories.The new iStore is open from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5.30pm.For more information contact 296-4622 or for accessories call 296-4624 or email sales[AT]istorebermuda.com
