Tuff Dogs continued their magical FA Cup run as they shocked First Division side St. George's Colts at St. John's Field yesterday.

Goals from Pablo Mullings and Robbie Almeida secured the Commercial side's passage in the next round and set up a potential showdown with a Premier powerhouse.

On a day when many fans were contemplating which fixtures would throw out surprise results, Tuff Dogs' name was hardly being talked about.

Mullings and Almeida put the men in maroon and black up two goals up in the first 15 minutes, but they were made to fight for the victory after Jelani Carlington pulled one back for St. George's soon after.

Coach Jason Floyd hailed his team's effort and determination which he believed was the deciding factor.

"It was an exceptionally good game of football today," said Floyd. "Our possession was good, we defended fantastic, and all in all it was a great performance by us. With the score 2-1, it was about keeping our heads down and focusing on what we needed to do.

"We knew they play well on the ground and we had to shut them down early. As the match went on, they started to play our game a bit more and were worrying more about what we were doing instead of playing their game.

"They had some good opportunities to score but our keeper Cal Thomas had a good game and made some good saves. The FA Cup is special, we know that our next opponent can be a Premier team so we will look forward to the draw and see who we have next. But if we play how we have over the past few weeks we will cause a lot of teams problems."

Robin Hood 4

St. David's 2 (after extra-time)

A Steven Simons hat-trick was the difference between Robin Hood and St. David's as the Commercial outfit ran out winners at BAA Field in a match that went into extra time. Simons use his height and pace to trouble the East Enders who had to claw their way back into the match twice before having the wind knocked out of them, conceding two goals in extra-time.

But St. David's had their chances to win, but woeful finishing was their undoing in the end.

Diego McCallen and Dominique Lambert pulled St. David's back from 1-0 and 2-1 before their side eventually falling flat. David Outerbridge scored Robin Hood's other goal.

BAA 3

X'Roads 1

BAA booked their place in the second round of the FA Cup when they beat X'Roads 3-1 at BAA Field.

Goals from Chris Lima, Gary Adams and Shane Morrison guided BAA to victory, while Che Woolridge got the single strike for X'Roads.

Woolridge put the visitors up midway through the first half after he latched onto a long ball and dispatched his chance into the back of net.

Lima then put away a spot kick on the stroke of half-time to draw BAA level.

Morrison then put BAA up 2-1 when he struck a volley from 18 yards out which left Tariq Smith a spectator as the ball crashed into the back of the net. Smith was then given his marching orders for a suspicious kick on a BAA player as he was attempting to hit the ball out of his hands. Adams stepped up and put his spot-kick beyond the back-up keeper.

X'Roads finished the game with nine men.

Wolves 0 MR Onions 3

At Devonshire Rec. Commercial outfit MR Onions caused an upset by toppling First Divisions side Wolves. Onions' goalscorers were Simon Gregory and Eoghan O'Dwyer (2).
